Use of flickr in classroom

I would do the following with flickr in the classroom

  1. Use disposable cameras or cameras brought from home to take pictures during field trips. Give a group of three students certain things or artifacts to find in the museum. This would cut down on the number of cameras needed and keep the children from just wondering around. I wonder if Canon or Nikon would offer free cameras or disposable cameras for schools ? May be something to pursue.
  2. for biology to watch plants grow. You could take pictures when seed has been put in the soil and then take weekly pictures to show the growth and progress.
  3. I would use flickr and you tube in partnership. Flickr to take pictures of Aberaham lLincoln and then also do a youtube entry that would show him giving the Gettysburg Address.
  4. Once the student had completed his art or science project, I would take pictures of each of them and send those pictures to all the parents of what the children had done. This could also be done to summarize what they learned on a field trip.
