I found three different web sites to help in my teaching.
1. The url was http://www.sopriswest.com/. It had to do with giving pupils rules to help with learning the alphabet and how words are sounded out and spelled. I really liked this site. It was easy to get to. I will probably check it out when doing other reading lessons too. The learning goal here is to have children learn how to read and write the English language.
2. The second site was on adding and subtracitng integers. The web site was http://www.timbedley.com/. He gave a neat way of showing children how to add and subtract negative integers by using dogs and cats. As with the first site, I will check out what other sites or parts he has also. The goal here is to have students be able to add and subtract integers with postive and negative numbers.
3. The last web site I looked at was http://www.technologylessonsforteachers.com/. This had a free lesson on plant samples. That could be used to explore science, culture, geography, and nutrition. The learning goal would be to learn about different plants, how they grow, and how we use them in our daily lives.
